There are over 50 films, representing 20 countries from Africa, a fabulous collateral programme which I'm co-producing which includes a Symposium on African Cinema & Liberation at LSE Sir John Akomfrah and Billy Woodberry in partnership with PfAL, the Firoz Lalji Institute for Africa (LSE), the Centre for African Studies (SOAS), the Africa Centre and the Africa Media Centre (University of Westminster). Other highlights include the highly anticipated Kunle Afolayan Masterclass at @bafta and the Tribute to Souleymane Cissé at University of East Anglia, Norwich.

This year's country spotlight is on the DRC featuring a beautiful film programme, gala and the digital exhibition at the Africa Centre.
